Portland Red-tailed Hawk

Portland Red Tail Hawk is the home of the photographs taken by Alan Moditz in the spring and summer of 2006 in Portland, Oregon. During this time, a pair of Red-tailed Hawks made their home on the East Side Federal Building where Mr. Moditz worked. Over a period of sixteen weeks, the pair laid and incubated a single egg. The resultant fledgling captured the attention of the employees of the two adjacent federal buildings and through Mr. Moditz' pictures, Hawk lovers across the USA. Here you will find the best of the pictures and links to the book Mr Moditz authored about the Hawks, A Federal Hawk.
